If you’re a new Dylan Scott fan or haven’t heard him sing, then here’s a small selection of great songs to start with. These will give you a great idea of his growth as a singer-songwriter as well as the chill sound you can expect on his live concert tours.
Let’s start with “Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy”. It’s a sweet romantic song about a man crooning to the woman of his dreams. And it was written with his then sweetheart-now wife in mind. And the passion and love comes through with the smooth guitar work and his enchanting baritone voice.
And speaking of love songs, “Hooked” is another excellent song. Unlike a lot of his work, this one wasn’t written with his wife in mind. But it did meet her approval. It’s got a great jamming beat and has a fast-paced energy of brand new love. In fact, it was inspired by Morgan Evans’ budding romance with his country singer Kelsea Ballerini.
And moving away from love songs, check out “My Town”. A song with a very rich anthem like tune. It was written about Scott’s hometown, a small part in America where everyone knows your name. It celebrates that feel of the familiar and comfortable in a way only Scott can.
